Light and Colour
We are all drawn to different aspects of a painting. Primarily, I think a painting is about light. To get the light to pop we also need the darkness. Contrast.
Next I am drawn towards colour. A little brightness amongst ‘greys’, some warm against cool. Contrast again, two sides.
I started learning to paint only recently, initially watercolour, and now I am trying gouache and oils. Mainly landscapes but occasionally a portrait or two. It’s a journey. One that can take a lifetime. Here I am sharing that journey and I would be honoured if you came along for the ride.
Welcome to My Website
Welcome, I’m really happy you’ve found my little corner. Since I started painting in 2021, I’ve shared my journey on social media. One by one each of those channels presented negatives. Eventually I decided to create this space to document progress and hopefully provided people with some insight in to how things develop over time.
Please feel free to comment either here or on the socials. I’m always open to feedback as a way of growth and thought.
I’ve never thought about selling my paintings, but I’ve listed them in the ‘store’ because it displays quite nicely! However, if you are interested in any, please get in touch.
